Bankinter releases moving ad campaign to present special measures in the current situation

The new campaign, released mainly for television, adds to the bank’s print and online campaigns launched on 1 March.

With a moving message and catchy music, the bank aims to convey measures taken to mitigate the impact of coronavirus as well as its fortitude in the current situation.

Today Bankinter is launching a new ad campaign with a moving message to empathise with people and present the various measures it has taken to mitigate the impact caused by COVID-19 on its customers while highlighting its strength, solvency and robustness in this crisis.

Bankinter will air the campaign mainly for primetime television to reach mass audiences, and on online video channels like YouTube and the websites of audiovisual media groups like Atresplayer and Mediaset. With its media plan, the bank aims to engage 75% of its target market, a highly sizeable potential viewership.

The first phase of this campaign will start today with a television spot of 120 seconds, somewhat longer than usual.

Through a story with a moving message, and using concepts visually related to finance, like money from all over the word, and a catch song created specially for this occasion, the spot describes the unique measures of Bankinter’s shock plan against the financial impact of COVID-19, as well as its strengths in these times.

Bankinter hopes this very visual format will empathise with audiences with a rhyme that embodies the moment we are living and a moving message about its strong and sincere shock plan underpinned by financial values.

For this campaign Bankinter has had the support of the creative agency, ‘Sioux meet Cyranos’, and the media agency, Havas, in a first-time collaboration with the bank on a television ad campaign.

Bankinter is taking a significant qualitative leap in its advertising strategy in adding this new campaign to a print and online campaign it began running on 1 March focused on helping retail customers, SMEs and sole traders understand and access all the measures created in view of this coronavirus pandemic grouped together on the microsite ‘Medidas Bankinter’ (Bankinter Measures) (https://www.bankinter.com/banca/medidas-covid19), created specially for this situation.

Bankinter's ultimate goal is to convey a message to the general public that it is a robust bank that wants to stand with its customers at specially difficult times, and that it is taking specific measures to help groups particularly affected by the crisis.
